From your agent website navbar choose Tools then Calculator, or open the Calculator section on a sale listing page.

Pick Bond & Transfer
Click the third tab, Bond & Transfer. It takes two figures, Total Amount (R) for the purchase and Bond Amount (R) for the loan.

Read the two columns
Transfer Costs itemises transfer duty, transfer fees, the deeds office levy, postage and petties, rates clearance, pro rata rates and VAT. Bond Costs sits beside it.

Quote the grand total
Grand Total adds both column totals. Opened from a listing the purchase figure is already in, so there is nothing to retype before you quote.

Fees off a bracket table
Transfer fees and bond fees come off fixed brackets, from R13 910 under R500 000 up to R84 785 at R10 000 000. VAT at 15% is charged on those fees and shown as its own Vat @ 15% line in each column.
Nine lines, not one number
Transfer Costs shows every item, down to Deeds Office Search at R140 and Electronic Document Preparation at R195, so the buyer sees what makes up the total.

Does it include bond costs?
Yes. Bond Costs is its own column: Fees, Deeds Office Levy, Postage and Petties, Bank Electronic Connection Fee and Vat @ 15%. There are no valuation, initiation or FICA lines.
How current is the data?
The duty bands and fee brackets are hardcoded constants inside the calculator, so they only move when the app is rebuilt and redeployed. Transfer duty is currently zero rated up to R1 100 000.
Can buyers run their own calculation?
Yes. The calculator is public on your agent website under Tools, Calculator, and it also loads on sale listing pages with the listing price already filled in. It makes no server call, so nothing is submitted and no lead is created.
